Scope of the partnership:

Formula and sample development, testing, documentation, packaging, manufacturing, filling and packing, warehousing, deliveries and launch coordination.

Result:

The first delivery reached the client ahead of schedule. Once sales had begun, the client placed a repeat order.

Confidentiality notice: Due to the terms of the partnership, the client’s name, product category, formula details and packaging details have not been disclosed. Order values and volumes also remain confidential.

The Situation

A retail chain was looking for a supplier to develop three private label products for Poland and Slovakia. Timing, quality and price were all critical. The planned sales launch date determined the campaign schedule.

When a sales launch date has already been agreed, it is essential to know what is ready and what still needs attention. Throughout this project, delivery dates for raw materials and packaging were checked daily. Close contact with the client made it easier to coordinate each stage of the work. An additional production shift and weekend work helped keep the project on schedule.

Close coordination between the production and logistics teams made it possible to deliver the first batch ahead of the agreed deadline.

The Challenge

The first delivery had to arrive before the planned sales launch. Any delay could have put the listing at risk and postponed the campaign.

Each of the three products had to pass a quality assessment before manufacturing could begin. With limited time available, the supply of raw materials and packaging was monitored daily.

Canexpol Group’s Scope of Work

Canexpol Group’s scope included:

  • preparing the commercial proposal and initial formula concepts,
  • developing formulas, samples and subsequent refinements,
  • testing and meeting the client’s quality requirements,
  • preparing documentation and coordinating packaging artwork,
  • selecting raw materials and packaging,
  • manufacturing, filling, packing, delivery and project coordination.

How the Launch Was Managed

We aligned the samples, documentation and packaging for all three products with the client. Ongoing communication and close monitoring of raw material deliveries helped keep the project on schedule.

1.

Commercial proposal, formulas and approval of 3 SKUs

Once the enquiry had been received, a commercial proposal and initial formula concepts were prepared. Canexpol Group’s laboratory developed the samples and refined them in response to the client’s feedback. This stage concluded with approval of the products.

2.

Contract, documentation and production preparation

After the samples had been approved, the contract terms and the client’s requirements were agreed. Packaging templates were provided, the client completed the specifications and delivery forms, and the artwork was checked. The raw materials and packaging required for production were then ordered.

3.

Additional shift and delivery ahead of schedule

Component delivery dates and production readiness were checked daily. To meet the delivery date, an additional shift was introduced and the team also worked over the weekend. The finished products reached the client’s warehouses ahead of the agreed deadline.

The Result

The first delivery was completed ahead of the agreed deadline. The client launched three products in Poland and Slovakia and then placed a repeat order.

For Retail Chains Expanding Their Private Label Range

Launching several products at the same time requires one shared schedule. It must allow sufficient time for sample approval, packaging deliveries and production preparation. If a delay becomes likely, the client and the teams managing the project need to agree on the next steps quickly. In this case, daily coordination and an additional production shift helped protect the delivery date.
